Machine Learning Engineer Oxford, UK (Hybrid working) IC Resources is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join our client's innovative team in Oxford. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing AI model performance on next-generation hardware processors, contributing to the development of cutting-edge AI acceleration hardware. Primary Responsibilities: Performance Benchmarking: Develop and maintain frameworks and methodologies for benchmarking AI models on AI processors, ensuring optimal performance. Algorithm Research and Implementation: Research and implement state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms and techniques to enhance performance on AI processors. Collaboration with Hardware Teams: Work closely with hardware engineers to understand the architecture of processors and optimize AI models for these specialized platforms. Simulation Tool Development: Design and develop simulation tools to model AI performance on processors, facilitating system evaluation and optimization. Integration with Development Workflow: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate benchmarking and simulation tools into the overall development process and product offerings. Essential Experience: Educational Background: A degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, a scientific discipline, or a related field. LLM and inference/training on multiple devices and model optimisation of different AI models Benchmarking and Performance Analysis: Experience in benchmarking and analysing the performance of machine learning models, preferably on specialised hardware platforms. Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C/C++, with familiarity in hardware description languages (HDL) being an advantage. Machine Learning Proficiency: Strong expertise in machine learning techniques and frameworks, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch. Simulation Tool Development: Experience in developing simulation tools or software for performance analysis. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting results and collaborating with team members. Problem-Solving and Creativity: Strong problem-solving abilities and creativity, with the capacity to work both independently and within a team. Desired Experience: Specialized Hardware Experience: Prior experience in optimising AI models for specialised hardware platforms. Integration Skills: Experience in integrating benchmarking and simulation tools into broader development workflows.
