Machine Operator Excellent team environment based within the Central Birmingham Temporary to Permanent role Favourable day shifts with opportunity of development Monday - Friday 06:30 - 15:30 with an early finish of 12:00pm £12.50 per hour We are looking for a Machine Operator to join a leading precious metals manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible to produce bespoke metal products including manufacturing tasks to ensure that products are finished to the highest standard. The role of Machine Operator requires sanding down products to requested profiles and weight, this role requires experience handling heavy machinery as well as ability to adapt to intricate work. Understanding of working from documentation with job specifications on is a key requirement of this role so following instructions and having a keen eye for detail is extremely important. Similar or transferable skills will Full competency is preferred. Role responsibilities for Machine Operator: Working to daily targets with a variety of precious metals. Machine Operating - (Behzinga machine experience desirable) Metal preparation including buffing and sanding Using Vernier and Micrometre for measurements. Use of hand tools Quality inspection to a high standard Ensuring workbench area is kept tidy all hand-tools are in a good state of repair and fit for purpose. Candidate will need: The ideal candidate for the Machine Operator will be confident working under their own direction and able to work according to targets and KPI's . A strong drive to fulfil customer expectations and commitments will be vital. A strong manufacturing background will be essential. The successful applicant must also have excellent team working skills, strong hand-eye coordination, good attention to detail and most importantly; enthusiasm for producing high quality product.
