Machine Operator/Assembly Technician Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator/Assembly Technician on a full time, permanent basis to join our client’s team in Telford, Shropshire. Hours: Mon-Fri 39 hours per week. Salary: £23,000 – 27,000 per annum DOE. Duties include but not limited to: • Operation of automatic upcut saw to cut aluminium profile stock as required from production cutting list. • Operation of the CNC Router to cut a variety of panels as required from production cutting list. • Operation of Milling and Drilling machines to perform basic machining to lengths of extruded aluminium. • Determine correct cut lengths to minimise scrap offcut material. • Replenishing stock from scheduled deliveries. • Daily calibration check of upcut saw before production runs using vernier callipers. • Assist maintenance personnel with the saw and router maintenance and repair. • Assist in performing verification and inspection tasks on all out-going products. • Assist in packing, and making ready, all projects for safe transportation. • Assist in the installation of TAL products at customers sites, these may require an overnight stay • Maintain a high level of shop floor housekeeping. • Carry out assembly and manufacturing tasks predominantly from Extruded Aluminium section and components to the required tolerances and standards as stated on the assembly/manufacturing drawings. • Observing and implementation of all Company H&S and Quality Management System requirements. Ideal Candidate: • At least 1 years in a similar mechanical engineering role. • Minimum GCSE Mathematics & English. • NVQ Level 2 In Mechanical Engineering. • Ability to work within given time frames. • Able to work easily with others and be part of a team. • Enthusiastic and committed. • Electrical installation wiring is desirable.
