About The Role Role –Multi Skilled Carpenter Location – This role will be covering Camarthen and Pembrokeshire areas Full Time – 37.5 hours per week Salary - £28,500 per annum About Orbis Education and Care: Orbis Education & Care is a sector-leading provider of specialist services for children and adults with complex needs associated with autism. Orbis Education and Care are seeking a dedicated and passionate Multiskilled Carpenter to join our compassionate and energetic Maintenance team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the role will require you to carry out reactive repairs and external grounds maintenance. Someone with a strong background in carpentry and plumbing repairs would be essential. Horticultural experience is also required for this role to complete the grounds maintenance. Your role will be essential to help us to achieve a high level of first-time fix carrying out quality repairs and delivering an excellent service to our buildings. Ongoing training will be provided to help you do the job safely and to the best of your ability. A day in life of a Multi Skilled Carpenter Worker with Orbis Education and Care Involves: Carry out all aspects of responsive maintenance works (carpentry, minor plumbing, painting). Carry out weekly building compliance checks. External maintenance repairs to out buildings, fences, and pathways. Weekly maintenance to grounds areas (grass cutting, leaf clearing, hedge cutting, weed control) Analyse problems and identify appropriate tools and materials for repairs. Write report documenting the problem and summary of actions taken. Keep records of assignments and produce detailed work reports through the maintenance system. Ability to carry out all working activities in accordance with company health and safety systems and HSE legislation. Requirements: Be available and willing to work flexible hours, including weekends when required (including on emergency on-call service). Previous experience in reactive repairs and grounds maintenance. Able to follow written and verbal instructions. Previous experience using field maintenance software. NVQ level 2/3 in carpentry/plumbing (desirable). CSCS Skilled Worker Card. Full clean UK driving license. Due to the nature of our sector, a DBS will be required.
