A leading manufacturer are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer. This is a hands-on opportunity that would suit an individual who has a keen focus on contributing to and developing a continuous improvement culture. The manufacturing that takes place does result in a dustier and more industrial work environment. All necessary safety equipment is provided, and high standards of workplace safety and cleanliness is maintained. What’s on offer: 18.36 per hour including an on-time bonus (£17.78 basic) Premium overtime rates (£23.71-£35.57) Hours- 6:00-14:00/14:00-22:00 alternating shifts (one weekend worked per month) Training and development On-site parking Statutory holidays Statutory pension What could you be doing: Collaborate closely with all employees, including shop floor workers and staff, while maintaining a high-performance, adaptable attitude Perform engineering maintenance and servicing of site equipment, including air handling equipment, compressors, various rotating drums, large ovens, fibre opening equipment, ventilation systems, motors, burners, hydraulic presses, and cutting systems. Recommend and advocate for process improvements to enhance machinery and process operations. Participate in training for new skills and tasks according to Personal Development Plans and management requests. What are we looking for: Previous experience in a maintenance role, preferably mechanically biased. Standard electrical ability (training provided) Ability to be self-motivated, prioritise workload and manage time effectively. Able to take initiative to minimise downtime, prevention of faults and improvement. Good communication, both verbal and written.
