Nursery Manager

Located in a quiet suburb of Southampton, this purpose-built nursery is seeking a Nursery Manager to lead the team and have full oversight of the setting. It is a new day nursery with gardens backing onto woodland, with lots of resources for young minds to explore and discover, including a mud kitchen, sand pit, and lots of bikes and trikes. The nursery offers children a nutritious menu with fresh fruit and seasonal vegetables. They provide children with a structured learning programme to prepare them well for primary school. As the Nursery Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of the nursery operations and compliance, leading the exceptional team, and maintaining commercial and educational standards. This is a role where your knowledge of children’s education, parent interaction and people development combine to create an environment of safety, learning and fun. Responsibilities: Ensure all children are kept safe and have rich stimulating experiences Lead, motivate and inspire the educator team, championing the company’s values Encourage a love of learning through high quality teaching under the EYFS framework Manage staffing ratios effectively and managing the weekly staff rota Develop the team to their full potential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Early Years Education or Childcare qualification to at least Level 3 Experience in a managerial role including nursery administration Understanding of the EYFS framework Leadership skills, proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organisational and multitasking abilities First Aid and CPR certification (preferred) DBS checked This is a great chance to join a friendly team in a wonderful setting as a Nursery Manager, so call Jon on 01932 797992 for full details today!
