Nursery Nurse

Located close to Horley with easy access to the trainline and bus services, we have a day nursery seeking an experienced Nursery Nurse. After recent renovation and refurbishment, this nursey offers contemporary, light and spacious rooms with each age group having an allocated garden that enables a range of outdoor learning experiences. The setting is close by to shops, so there’s plenty of choice for lunch venues, but it also has a self-contained staff room that facilitates breaks and staff learning development. You will be responsible for creating an environment in which children’s individual needs are met and for supporting the team in ensuring that high quality childcare is provided to all. This is a full time 40 hr per week role. Responsibilities: Work in partnership with parent and carers, catering for all children’s individual needs; observing, planning and evaluating development activities; keeping accurate records and maintaining regular contact and communication with parents Support the Room Leader to ensure that all nursery initiatives are fully embedded into the room, following and implementing the EYFS at all times Respond to parent queries or requests in a polite and professional manner, seeking help or signposting parents to the correct person within the nursery as appropriate Support with new staff induction into the room, to ensure consistency of care To take good care and responsibility for equipment and furniture in the room, ensuring that any issues are flagged appropriately Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience of working in a day nursery Relevant Early Years qualification – Level 3 Understanding and working knowledge of the EYFS Good understanding of health and safety requirements, safeguarding and paediatric first aid Valid DBS check Ready to embark on this rewarding journey with us?
