We have a recently renovated setting close to Crawley, West Sussex who is seeking a Nursery Practitioner to join their welcoming team. The nursery is located close to the overland train station and is also served by local bus routes. It is a light, modern, and spacious setting, with lots of outdoor space including a Forest School area. The nursery offers a welcoming space for children, parents, and carers to feel at home, with a curriculum allowing children to play and learn and adapt is secure and well resourced surroundings. As a Nursery Practitioner you will be responsible for creating an environment in which children’s individual needs are met and for supporting the team in ensuring that high quality childcare is provided to all. Responsibilities: Work in partnership with parent and carers, providing for all children’s individual needs; observing, planning and evaluating development activities; keeping accurate records and maintaining regular contact and communication with parents Support the Room Leader to ensure that all nursery initiatives are fully embedded into the room, following and implementing the EYFS at all times Respond to parent queries or requests in a polite and professional manner, seeking help or signposting parents to the correct person within the nursery as appropriate Support with new staff induction into the room, to ensure consistency of care Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience of working in a day nursery Relevant Early Years qualification – Level 3 Understanding and working knowledge of the EYFS Good understanding of health and safety requirements, safeguarding and paediatric first aid As a Nursery Practitioner you will require a valid DBS check We recognise the upheaval that finding a new role can cause you.
