We have a lovely setting close to Blackheath which is looking for a Level 2 or 3 Childcare qualified Nursery Practitioner to join their welcoming team. You will be responsible for providing the highest level of care and education for children attending the nursery in line with the EYFS framework. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will ensure the individual needs of children are identified and met, follow nursery policies, procedures and operational practices, and build positive working relationships with the children, staff, parents and carers. This nursery focuses on the creative arts including music, dance and drama so there’s always something interesting going on and no day is ever the same. Responsibilities: Supervise and support children at all times as well as preparing and supervising activities Contribute to maintaining an attractive and welcoming environment Ensure that equality of access and opportunity is afforded to all staff, parents, carers and children Carry out observations on the children and link their development to the areas of learning Undertake a shared responsibility for health safety and cleanliness throughout the nursery Ensure children are kept safe and you understand and follow the safeguarding policy and procedure Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Hold a recognised childcare qualification at Level 2 or Level 3 Have previous experience of working in a childcare setting Be familiar with the Early Years Foundation Stage and it’s requirements Maintain a positive attitude at all times with children, parents visitors and colleagues The Nursery Practitioner works as part of the team to ensure that the nursery’s values are maintained We recognise the upheaval that finding a new role can cause you.
