Senior Accountant opportunity We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a established accountancy practice on a full time basis in Southend. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable firm that is committed to providing high-quality financial services to their clients. If you have experience working in an accountancy practice in the UK at a similar level then we would love to hear from you. Benefits: Competitive salary depending on experience Genuine career progression Hybrid working 2 days a week from home Supportive team Yearly bonus Regular team events Responsibilities: Managing a portfolio of clients, including preparation of accounts and tax returns, providing tax planning advice, and managing client relationships. Managing and mentoring a team of junior accountants, providing guidance and support where necessary. Ensuring that all work is completed accurately and to a high standard within strict deadlines. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, and identifying opportunities for business development. Requirements: ACA/ACCA/AAT fully qualified with at least 3 years UK accountancy practice experience. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues. Strong technical accounting skills, with a good understanding of accounting standards and tax legislation. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously. Experience of managing and mentoring junior members of staff.
