We are working exclusively with an innovative, international client in the mmWave industry to help them find a Senior Antenna Design Engineer. This growing organisation specialises in cutting-edge IC design and satellite communication technologies, offering the opportunity to work on impactful projects in a collaborative, dynamic environment. The Role As a Senior Antenna Design Engineer, you’ll take on a key technical role as part of a multidisciplinary team, focusing on the design, development, and optimisation of antennas for advanced satcom products. From feasibility studies and simulations to testing and final deployment, you’ll oversee the complete antenna development cycle. Clear communication and collaboration are essential as you work alongside IC designers to deliver highly co-optimised solutions. Key Responsibilities Define specifications for antennas and packages for satellite communication systems. Design and simulate RF and mmWave antenna solutions, including multi-layer and planar antennas. Prototype, test, and iterate antenna designs to meet performance requirements. Develop and execute test plans while analysing results for continuous improvement. Act as the antenna expert, driving innovation and creative solutions to complex challenges. Produce clear, concise reports for both internal teams and external customers. Required Experience and Skills A degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on antenna design. Solid track record in designing antennas for RF and mmWave applications, particularly at Ku/Ka-band frequencies. Experience with full antenna development cycles, from specification to testing. Proficiency in simulation tools such as HFSS and hands-on PCB design experience with tools like Altium or KiCAD. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines. Fluency in English (written and spoken). Preferred Experience Background in beamforming antenna arrays (e.g., for Ku/Ka-band Satcom, 5G, etc.).
