Senior BI Consultant - Snowflake SpecialistLocation: Oeiras, PortugalWe are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Specialist to join our IQVIA Business Intelligence and Data Science team as a senior BI Consultant (focused on back-end development). This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in transforming the way pharmaceutical drugs are developed and released. You will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative solutions, working closely with different parties to understand their business requirements and translate them into actionable insights.If you are a team player with excellent communication skills and a hands-on mentality, we want to hear from you. As a member of our flex pool, you will work on high-quality analytical projects, following established standards and guidelines. You will need to demonstrate creativity, flexibility, autonomy, and efficiency, working in a dynamic, evolving environment.Principle Accountabilities:Your main focus will be situated on the analysis and design of relevant solutions as well as the technical development of these solutions;Interface with different parties to understand their business requirements, which you will translate into solutions & applications;You will be involved in all phases of the project, from requirement gathering to delivery, as well as defining best practices and building innovative solutions; You are able to demonstrate creativity, flexibility, autonomy and efficiency, within a dynamic, evolving environment;You will work as a consultant of IQVIA on the Belgium market;You will be part of our near shore team (Lisbon Based)Education, Experience, Soft skills & Specialized Knowledge Required:Bachelor's or Master's degree with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.Fluent in English.Significant experience with Snowflake, including designing, developing, and implementing Snowflake solutions.Strong knowledge of ETL and ELT technologies.Knowledge of Data Warehousing, Scorecarding and performance management solutions.Hands-on experience with front-end development in Business Intelligence projects.Understanding of Kimball methodologies.Experience gathering and challenging requirements and translating them into designs and solutions.Customer-oriented personality with a positive drive and a pragmatic, innovative approach.High interest in qualitative and quantitative data analysis and interpretation.Curious and pragmatic.Ability to work independently or as part of a team.Self-motivated and proactive.Stress-resilient with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.Any of the following elements are considered as a big plus:Snowflake certifications (Snowpro)Affinity with the healthcare sectorData modelling skillsKnowledge of Qlik Sense, PowerBI, Microstrategy or Denodo and other BI/DWH ToolsWorking in Agile modeGeneral project management skillsKnowledge of VeevaWe offer:Possibility to follow trainings to keep evolvingPossibility to work from home or from one if the IQVIA offices on multiple days per week.A great team to work in and to count onChallenging projects and challenging customersThe possibility to work in a sector that is now more than ever so important to you, your family and your friendsIQVIA is a leading global provider of advanced analytics, technology solutions and clinical research services to the life sciences industry.
