The successful candidate will assume responsibility for overseeing credit management operations, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts while maintaining robust customer relationships. This is a permanent position that presents the opportunity to manage a growing team and contribute significantly to the continued success of HERMEQ.Key Responsibilities:Credit Control: Implement and maintain effective credit control policies and procedures to minimise bad debts and ensure the timely collection of outstanding invoices.Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough credit checks on new and existing customers to assess creditworthiness and minimise financial risk.Debt Collection: Proactively chase overdue invoices through telephone calls, emails, and letters, escalating collection efforts as necessary.Reporting: Prepare regular reports on aged debt, cash flow forecasts, and credit risk analysis for senior management review.Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve credit management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including data protection and credit laws, and keep abreast of industry developments.Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, sales teams, and other stakeholders to resolve billing disputes and ensure prompt payment.Requirements:Proven experience in credit control or a related financial role, preferably within the manufacturing or construction industry.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and resolve conflicts.Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret financial data.Proficiency in using credit management software and Microsoft Office applications.Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.Benefits:Competitive salary (£30,000 - £40,000 per annum) Plus BonusOpportunity to work for a TIMES fastest growing company.Hybrid working model (3 days on-site, 2 days remote).Career development and progression opportunities.Comprehensive benefits package.Application Process:To apply for the role of Senior Credit Controller at HERMEQ, please submit your CV and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you are interested in joining the team .
