Our opportunity As an Investment Accounting Expert, Associate Director, you are as part of a global Change Delivery team implementing changes related to our core system in a most standardized and efficient way. You will provide accounting expertise to the project team for changes related to accounting treatment, valuation, processes. You will be part of Accounting community providing operational best practices, procedures and guidelines about all Investment Accounting related matters and drive implementation in a most standardized and efficient way. You will be part of Change Delivery Service team within Investment Solutions (Investment Admin & Accounting function). The team is responsible for the delivery of all changes related to IAA core systems. The team is working in a self-organized dedicated approach and has all the required roles to deliver a project in the Dedicated Team. The team is empowered to organize their work, to manage project backlog, priority and resources. Your role As an Associate Director Investment Accounting Expert your main responsibilities will involve Acts as the Investment Accounting expert in the Change Delivery team, to provide input, insights and expertise related to accounting changes implemented within the team Acts as the liaison between project team and BAU experts team for specific topic expertise Analyzes change arriving from Group stakeholders or service units impacting financial statements (CoA, measurement, disclosure, reporting) Ensure smooth handover and transition of new procedures to the business as usual in the Servicing team / Capability Considers industry standards and technology solutions which minimize impacts/ limitations from an end user perspective Reviews and approves process changes, leads communication to drive the change and oversees adaptation across all delivery teams by bringing the knowledge and functional skills to them As a promoter, ambassador, power user trainer or process/product owner functionally directing the Accounting community, chapter, squad Drives standardization and automation to any extend feasible, measures progress and performance by KPIs Develop and maintain functional trainings, use modern knowledge tools, documentation standards to fasten onboarding of new staff Deputize other SME functions on operational duties such as transaction processing, position reconciliation, cash clearance, automation routines Your Skills and Experience As an Associate Director Investment Accounting Expert your skills and qualifications will ideally include: Master degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or equivalent postgraduate studies (e.g. CFA, CPA, CMA, ACCA). >5 years’ of experience in investment accounting or audit in a senior role overlooking Financial Statements and data preparation incl. result analysis Subledger & General ledger systems / processes (SAP FAM would be an advantage) Financial instruments accounting standards (e.g. IFRS9 or similar Understanding Financial markets, products, risks, regulations Communication, negotiation and presentation Passionate self-working, very result oriented and able to manage multiple priorities Analytical and conceptual thinking/ transformation Managed/ lead of 3-5 mid-size projects or optimization initiatives in Financial or investment Accounting/ Controlling or played key role in there Fluent English in written and oral (proficiency level) Good base understanding of financial mathematics IT affinity is a plus Conceptual working, process design, story telling
