£40m t/o contract
Reporting to the Head of Finance this role will assume responsibility for driving the financial performance of a £40m t/o contract. Responsibilities will include:Ensure that forecast orders, sales and invoicing are updated on a regular basis.Assist in the completion of the Program Dashboards and CSR.Monitor project expenditure and delivery with a focus on cash milestonesSupport Program Managers to understand actual costs incurred.Support Programme Managers to ensure costs to completion estimates and estimates at completion (EAC) for programmes are correctly reflected.Proactively identify cost savings.Monitor and report on risks associated with Program.Reconciliation of project costs within oracle and manage monthly reconciliationsSupport the Head of Finance in preparation of annual budgets (MYB) and forecasts.Consolidate all subcontracts into the system and understand the movements in their local EAC's.Participate and challenge in bid process and support commercial on claims.The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with previous project or contract accounting experience, ideally gained within the defence, construction or engineering sectors. Knowledge of government based contracts would be advantageous. Superb stakeholder management and communication skills are essential as is a demonstrable track record of working with and influencing non finance stakeholders.In return our client offers genuine career progression and a role which offers the opportunity to make a difference and stand out within the organisation.
