Position Overview We are looking for a highly experienced Technical Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust blend of technical, engineering, and planning expertise, alongside outstanding leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills. This role requires an unwavering commitment to delivering promised services and products to our customers. Key Responsibilities Planning and Delivery : Secure planning permissions for approximately 200 new homes annually and ensure timely commencement of these projects in line with the business plan. Financial Oversight : Prepare and monitor technical expenses and bond lists to maintain budgetary control. Inter-departmental Coordination : Collaborate with Land, Sales, Commercial, and Construction to ensure seamless project execution. Land Appraisal : Oversee the appraisal of new land opportunities, considering constraints, technical requirements, design, and planning aspects. Health and Safety : Maintain a strong focus on Health and Safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Sales and Marketing Alignment : Ensure optimum selling mix and coverage, maintaining brand identity and considering sales areas early in the layout design. Consultant Management : Brief and monitor the performance of external consultants to ensure project specifications are met. Skills and Qualifications Leadership : Ability to motivate, coach, and create a passionate, supportive environment that challenges, develops, and rewards the technical team. Efficiency : Continuously seek to streamline procedures for greater efficiency and productivity. Objective Focused : Maintain an unswerving focus on business objectives and establish priorities quickly to achieve set goals.
