Position: Strategic Procurement Manager Salary: Grade UE08 £48,350 – £59,421 per annum Contract: Fixed-Term, 12 months Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week Location: Edinburgh-based with Hybrid working About the Role Are you ready to make a significant impact in a world-class institution? We are seeking a Strategic Procurement Manager to join our clients dynamic and innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for the tendering, award, and contract management of a diverse range of procurement projects, as well as leading strategic initiatives based on market engagement and spend analyses. Key Responsibilities Manage the tendering, award, and contract management processes for various procurement projects. Lead strategic initiatives derived from market engagement and spend analyses. Deliver innovative procurement solutions aligned with the companies’ objectives and Government policies. Engage with a broad spectrum of internal and external stakeholders. Exercise initiative and discretion in managing strategic procurements. To be successful in this role, you will be: Self-motivated and proactive: Driven to shape and develop the procurement service. Experienced: Practical experience and theoretical knowledge of end-to-end tendering procedures, including eTendering systems. Skilled in contract management: A solid grounding in in-life contract and supplier relationship management. Detail-oriented: Excellent computing literacy, numerical analysis skills, and attention to detail. Strong communicator: Excellent communication and negotiation skills coupled with sound commercial judgment. Desirable Criteria: CIPS Qualified (or equivalent). Experience with public procurement regulations/legislation. Senior stakeholder management experience. Proven track record in delivering strategic projects. Experience in a Higher Education environment.
