In this role, you will ensure our Capital Delivery projects align with environmental standards and commitments. What you’ll be doing as a Sustainability Assurance Specialist Promoting continuous improvement of environmental/sustainability performance of all projects. Being familiar with and effectively communicating the requirements of current applicable environmental legislation and best practices. Thinking innovatively and working with the Project Engineering team to identify areas where processes can be improved. Aiding all project personnel to enable them to manage their carbon and sustainability duties and responsibilities. Assisting the Environmental team in various internal and external meetings, workshops, management reviews and forums. Raising awareness and understanding of carbon and sustainability targets throughout Capital Delivery. Based in Hybrid, Clearwater Court, you will be required on-site and in the office as part of your role requires you to. 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday. This role does require a driver's licence and access to a car. What you should bring to the role Be educated to a degree or equivalent in environmental/sustainability or something similar. Previous experience in the Utility industry is preferable. To have an interest in project delivery and a passion for protecting and enhancing the environment. Take a proactive approach and be able to adapt to changing scenarios to solve problems and maintain Thames Water standards. What’s in it for you? Competitive salary from £40,000 to £48,000 per annum. 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service.
