This position will play a key role in our supplier decarbonization program. The role holder will conduct Life Cycle Assessments, validate internal and external Product Carbon Footprints (PCFs), and ensure correct mapping of chemical materials to secondary database emission factors to strengthen our GHG Scope 3.1 emissions reporting and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations. In addition, this position will help us continue to evolve our supplier engagement strategy, with a focus on emissions accounting and data validation. Managing relationships, communicating sustainability requirements, and working together to address challenges are essential elements of our supplier engagement practices. This involves better ways to exchange insights and data with suppliers to improve our sustainability performance. All of this will enable our company to make informed decisions and minimize its environmental footprint. Who you are: Bachelor's or master's degree in environmental science, sustainability, chemical engineering, or related field.Knowledge of GHG accounting and net zero principles, and experience with environmental, social and governance (ESG) frameworks. Minimum of 3 years of experience in LCA, preferably in the chemical and/or pharmaceutical industry. This implies good understanding of LCA methodologies, standards, and tools (e.g., SimaPro or OpenLCA, EEIO, ecoinvent) to evaluate the environmental impact of products and services.Knowledge of chemical materials and their properties is highly desirable.Experience in circular economy and recycling practices is desired.Expertise of relevant standards and regulations, such as ISO 14040/44, PAS 2050, GHG Protocol and industry standards (e.g., TfS PCF Guideline and GHG Protocol).Effective communication and engagement with colleagues from different areas of the company, as well as external partners (e.g., consultants) Experience of working with large datasets and the ability to analyze and interpret data into meaningful conclusions and solve problems.Project management experience is desired.Adaptability, attention to details and good time management skills.Ability to work remotely, independently and as part of a virtual team.Strong presentation skills; fluency in English.
