This position will play an essential role in continuously improving our performance in various ESG (environmental, social, governance) topics managed by our Procurement team. You will work in initiatives (either leading them or as a team member) in fields such as biodiversity protection, conflict minerals, human rights, water and waste management, circular economy, etc. You will contribute to ensuring compliance with relevant environmental regulations and laws to minimize risks for our company. You will also constantly seek ways to improve our sustainability practices and help us to raise the standards of our sustainability reporting. Who are you: Bachelor's or Master's degree either in a technical area (e.g., environmental science, engineering, etc.) or in an administrative field (e.g., business, legal, etc.)Proficiency in relevant sustainability regulations applicable to procurement activities, such as German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act, EU Packaging Directive 94/62/EC, upcoming Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive and EU Deforestation Law, as well as standards like ISO 14001, ISO 26000.Minimum of 3 years of experience working on ESG frameworks such as biodiversity protection, conflict minerals, human rights, water and waste management, circular economy, etc.Understanding of sustainability reporting requirements (e.g., ESRS, CSRD, etc.)Familiarity with digital tools/solutions for supply chain mapping to identify environmental and social risks and opportunities. Effective communication and engagement with colleagues from different areas of the company, as well as external partners (e.g., consultants) Experience of working with large datasets and the ability to analyze and interpret data into meaningful conclusions and solve problems.Project management experience is desired.Adaptability, attention to details and good time management skills.Ability to work remotely, independently and as part of a virtual team.Strong presentation skills; fluency in English.
