Test and Inspect Electrician Salary: £36,000 DOE Location: Taunton Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer who holds an 18 th Edition certification? The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Test and Inspect Electrician to be part of a well-established team. Renowned within their industry, they specialise across both products and services within; fall arrest equipment, electrical testing, building access, fire solutions and water treatment. The Role Within the role as a Test and Inspect Electrician you will be responsible for conducting electrical installation condition reports (EICRs) in various commercial and industrial settings. This will require a deep understanding of electrical systems, following safety regulations and the ability to identify and report any hazardous issues within the sites you are attending. Further to the above you will also: Inspect and test electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, switchgear, and control equipment Identify and document defects, non-compliances, and potential safety hazards Provide clear and concise reports detailing the condition of electrical installations, including recommendations for remedial actions Ensure all inspections are carried out in accordance with relevant standards and regulations, including BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations Ensure all inspection tools and equipment are maintained and calibrated as required Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to maintain and enhance technical skills Our ideal candidate You will possess a proven background (3 years’ +) in Electrical Engineering, creative problem-solving skills, high attention to detail and a collaborative spirit. A commitment to excellence and a proactive approach to challenges are essential for success in this role. Furthermore: City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) qualification in Inspection and Testing NVQ Level 3 18th Edition In-depth knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and other relevant standards and codes Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and software for reporting Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Valid UK driving licence If the above is of interest to you then click to apply!
