Toolmaker Day shift (Early finish Friday) Redditch Permanent £15.00 - £16.78 per hour There is an immediate requirement for a Toolmaker to join a successful, Redditch based manufacturing company. The role will require the candidate to be responsible for manufacturing all tooling to engineering drawings for a variety of high industry aerospace customers across the UK. Main Responsibilities of the Toolmaker: *Manufacture extrusion, mould and finish dies from raw materials *Eradicating process variability and implementing robust controls (NPI) *Provide manual milling and surface grinding *Manufacture single-stage clip tools *Service and repair (PPM) *Ensuring the quality of parts Key Technical/Professional Competencies: *Apprentice trained time served toolmaker (or 5 years' experience in a toolroom). *Experience within a hot metal, heavy manufacturing environment, preferably producing aerospace/automotive products would be desired. *Strong working knowledge of engineering drawings. *Strong understanding of measuring equipment (Micrometres, height gauges understanding both imperial and metric) *Knowledge and experience operating CNC machine tools Benefits: *Overtime is paid at a premium rate and available straight away *33 days holiday + 1 additional day after five years' service *Reward benefit scheme for all employees *Excellent progression opportunities If you would like to be considered for this role, please click 'APPLY' and follow the instructions.
