Warehouse Team Leader Temp to Perm £13.25 per hour Monday to Friday 0800-1700 We are currently seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to join a dynamic team. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, leading a team, and ensuring efficient and safe warehouse activities. The details of the position are as follows: Responsibilities: Participate in the weekly fire alarm testing, conduct daily checks on the warehouse floor, and perform end-of-day inspections. Coordinate or provide guidance on resource allocation for shift activities within the operation, adjusting as needed throughout the day to meet targets, under the direction of the Warehouse Shift Manager. Supervise and escalate issues related to performance, accuracy, 5S hygiene, and stock capacity when necessary. Capable of executing operational requests using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and handling various warehouse tasks. Address ad hoc customer requests as directed by the line manager. Comprehend, document, and update information on KPI boards as needed for operational purposes. Assist in managing goods flow and handle any necessary changes. Contribute to team briefings as needed, including updates on SQCDEP and operational matters. Attend departmental meetings as required. Document and investigate process deviations (TIPs) as necessary. Report health and safety issues through the proper channels using the online portal for near misses and safety concerns. Oversee the completion of pre-shift inspections of all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and ensure that MHE observations comply with corporate standards. Provide support to direct reports within the operation, offering guidance as needed, and work collaboratively with them on operational activities within the department. Encourage line workers to improve quality and practice safe behaviours. Promote and contribute to continuous improvement projects and ideas (PS). Benefits: Friendly working environment. PC literate Previous experience of using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) at a super user level Previous experience with supporting customers on warehouse floor Understanding of all warehouse processes. Experience of managing a team Understanding of KPIs Experience of Business Improvement Techniques (Continuous Improvements) Understanding and completion of 5S activities. Ability to apply KNP's framework to day-to-day activities on site. Health and safety reporting and identifying unsafe conditions.
