We are looking for a Strategic Field Technical Coordinator to join Thames Water. The technical coordinator will manage specific activities within the Network Asset Maintenance structure/remit including leading Planned strategic projects and providing support on larger-scale production projects. This role will incorporate some or all the accountabilities listed below. The team will be offering strategic field resources for asset upgrades, replacement activities, automation, and accurately calibrated and verified instrumentation, therefore you will be assisting in the delivery and coordination of the division's KPIs and framework contracts. The main accountabilities of this role include: Base Location - Orpington - Kent - BR6 0SQ. 36 hours per week Monday-Friday 08:00 - 16:00. What you will be doing as a Water Technical Coordinator ( Strategic Field ) Being responsible for effectively assisting with the delivery of H&S of all members of the team and those working on the Network. Assisting the team to deliver exceptional service to our customers and ensuring they trust us and the service we provide. Keeping a committed drive on following budgetary and financial activities of the team and suggesting improvements to management. Raise asset-related purchase orders and is responsible for maintaining a safe and organised stock/inventory of parts and equipment. Obtain material quotations and contractor quotations for asset-related work against an SAP work order, raise and goods receipt purchase orders. CAPEX grouping opportunities to be raised and tracked with financial accountants. Completion of weekly and monthly performance reports. Plan work in SAP/tech workbench and attend planning meetings to ensure that the correct skills, equipment, and materials are being delivered and utilised efficiently to avoid aborted visits. Responsible for assisting the performance and delivery of Proactive and Reactive activities under the Assigned Contracts to the division. Framework/Non-Framework Suppliers To ensure they understand what is expected of them to achieve optimal performance. Assisting all individuals in the team ensuring they are motivated and take pride in what they do by developing and agreeing on action plans. Liaise with the planning team to arrange and coordinate Traffic management requirements when requested by strategic field technicians. Delivering successful first-time network service operations by managing upgrades, repair and replacement of inoperable assets and under performing assets. What should you bring to the role? Strong skills in operations, maintenance, engineering, finance, H&S, stakeholder engagement and customer focus would be ideal. Ideally previous working experience and knowledge of the water/engineering industry, with Water Network experience but not essential. Confidence working in a fast-paced environment as you will be dealing with a high volume of data and must have an eye for detail. Strong coordination experience with the ability to export data across multiple systems and be able to identify and resolve problems quickly and successfully. Excellent people and performance skills. Financial skills and ability to demonstrate identifying and achieving financial efficiencies. Excellent organisational and risk management skills. Network asset knowledge and awareness of PTW, ZONE, SAP, SCADA, Aorta, Waternet and Watercore systems would be beneficial. What’s in it for you?
