Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer FMCG Birmingham Up to £43,000 per annum + Benefits Pertemps are working with a well-established FMCG in Birmingham, with a team of multiskilled maintenance engineers with electrical and mechanical experience. Our client is one of the largest independent fresh food producers in the UK and Europe. You will be part of a leading ethical food distribution business committed to sustainability and ethical values. Our focus is environmental responsibility that shapes our business practices and our people. Main Responsibilities: As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of production machinery and equipment, including PLC's, conveyors, weighers, wrappers, and more. You will also support the general site maintenance in line with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) systems and building services protocols. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and upkeep all operational equipment. Conduct reactive breakdown repairs and adhere to the Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule. Diagnose and repair a wide variety of Electrical and Mechanical Systems. Perform routine maintenance on plant and services, maintaining accurate records. Assist in managing Health and Safety, Environmental, and Company policies. Contribute to projects aimed at Continuous Improvement and Lean techniques. Undertake any other reasonable requests from the employer. Qualifications and Skills: Recognised engineering qualifications/HNC or equivalent. Proficiency with IEE 17/18th Edition. Desirable: MEWP Trained, FLT Trained, IOSH/NEBOSH Certified, Food Safety. Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team. Capacity to work independently and make prompt decisions. Passion for high-quality work and a "Right First Time" approach. Proactive with effective time management skills. Logical approach to fault diagnosis. Computer literate, including Microsoft Office and Building Management Systems. Benefits: 28 days plus, pension and more Distribution Business - Monday to Friday 6.00am-2.00pm, 2.00 pm - 10.00pm
